Hey There! Thanks for stopping by!  My name is Ryan McGrath.  I am a Nutrition and Lifestyle Counselor specializing in Weight Loss & Cleansing and a board certified member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I work with women who are fed up with dieting and are ready to make real changes in order to receive real results.

I received my training through the the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the State University of New York Purchase (SUNY)  where I obtained my certification in integrative nutrition and became a certified holistic health coach. I have also studied the importance of raw foods and am a certified Living on Live Foods Chef and Instructor through  Alissa Cohen .

Now that you have read my official bio (I call that my glossy), I’d like to share my unofficial bio. The story of how I arrived here because I originally started this journey for weight loss,  but it has really become so much more. I began my ride on the dieting roller coaster at 18 years old. I went away to college and gained 25 pounds! Yikes!  The yo-yo dieting began and the fat talk started, as did my obsession with the scale. I went through phases of weight loss shakes, calorie restriction, tiny microwaveable meals and laxatives. This continued throughout college and followed me into Corporate America where it seemed to get so much harder. Longer hours at my desk meant less time to exercise and plan meals. The stress at work didn’t help either. I would go through cycles of weight loss and weight gain and continued to beat myself up over the size of my clothes or the number on my scale.

In 2003 my father was diagnosed with Cancer. It’s what some call a “sleeping cancer”. It never is fully treated, never cured. After treatment (radiation) it goes away and sleeps for a while. And while we are fortunate that it’s a slow moving, sleeping type of cancer. It’s still cancer.

I have tackled my “weighty” issues, but since my dad’s diagnosis, being on this journey and helping others has become so much more than weight loss. It’s also about preventative care.
